What EXACTLY is refinishing?
So once upon a time, the only real way to touch up your bathroom to make it look fresh and new again was to replace everything in it… the tub, the tile, the sinks, everything. Needless to say, the cost of taking on that project in some cases would just make you want to move. Thankfully, there’s a much better way these days that will save you a TON of money (and all the hassle of packing).
Bathtub refinishing (also known as resurfacing, reglazing or re-enameling) is a process through which the surface of a worn or damaged tub can be restored to like-new condition. It requires a multi-step process of repairing any damage to the tub (like rust holes or chips), stripping the tub of its old finish and then applying a new one to give your tub that shiny, new gloss you’ve been missing. This process can be applied to tile, too! Check it out!
How long does it take?
Our resurfacing process typically takes between 2-5 hours, from prep to finish. The surface will be ready for use 24 hours after completion.
Does it smell?
The resurfacing process does have a smell. It’s similar to a nail salon, but intensified. Our technicians utilize a ventilation system to extract as much of the chemical smell from your home as possible. Any lingering scent will dissipate after 24 hours.
How long will it last?
At LEAST 7-10 years, if cleaning and maintenance recommendations are followed. Additionally, all of our work is backed by a written service warranty to ensure the utmost quality of workmanship.
Are bathtubs and tile the only things that can be resurfaced?
No! Our resurfacing process can be used on kitchen countertops, sinks and vanity tops. Any cultured marble, Formica, Corian, fiberglass or acrylic fixtures can be resurfaced; even ceramic tile flooring!
